What a wonderful stay our family has had. We hit most of the beaches but having young children we found Maho with its shallow waters and short beaches to be the best for us. We took the day trip to the Baths-WOW! My husband rented a boat and took us on a day trip to the Willy T, Foxys and the Indians for snorkeling-incredible! The house was great, it had everything we needed plus some things we didnt. On our last night I called my husband downstairs because there was a scorpion in front of the dryer! My husband lived here for several months and Ive been here before and neither of us knew there were scorpions here! Yikes! But still pretty cool to actually see one out in nature. Thanks for the great stay

We loved the Banana Cabana. Our favorite restaurants were Rhumb Lines and Skinny Legs. Out favorite beaches were Waterlemon and Brown Bay (although quite a hike it was worth it) The mosquitos were bad. The pool was wonderful, we didnt mind it being shared. We pretty much had to ourselves anytime we used it. The neighbours were very friendly. We had such a relaxing vacation!

We loved Banana Cabana and the views looking out either side of Fortsberg and to the water. The weather was great, only real rain was the night we arrived. The house is well equipped but we did end up eating at several Coral Bay restaurants. We liked being able to walk to Skinnys and Donkey Diner. Favorite snorkeling was at Salt Pond Bay, Little Lameshur, and Leinster Bay. Cinnamon Beach was beautiful and we even got in a little body surfing. Im at avid birder and enjoyed the native species right from the decks. Our stay was a great relaxing break from our usual work lives and cold New England. Thanks,

Lets set the record straight-there will be no more whining at the Banana Cabana-look around people, youre in Paradise! The guy with the mosquitos had a right to whine, but the rest of you get over it! We loved the chips at Skinny Legs
great week that flew by, cant wait to come back. The house was perfect, the neighbours were wonderful and every turn was more breathtaking than the last. Thanks again!

Three previous trips to St. John coming daily on the car ferry-Coral Bay won our souls. This time we sleep on the island! Letting our stress drain out onto the sand
Nights at Aqua Bistro, burgers at Island Blues, Skinny Legs always a funky hangout. First night at Shipwreck-good everything! Disappointed in Bordeaux Mt and Paradiso-overrated and expensive. Close call on a corner with a bull-otherwise we were charmed by meeting the critters-chameleons, humming birds, chickens, goats, donkeys, lizards, crabs and mongoose. The early evening vertical drama at East End is a must for newcomers and perhaps a sail to Jost Van Dyke. We loved the hillside and harbour views which greeted us each morning on the many decks of Fiddlers Green. Showers were great! Lilys Gourmet Market seems to carry everything so that Cruz Bay seems unnecessary. Thank you for sharing your tree house with us, well be back!

We came to St. John for my nieces wedding-found this house via Windspree Vacation Homes. Since the group included me, my husband and my 80yro mother, we were a little surprised to find outdoor (and upstairs!) bathroom facilities, and a bit of hike to get to the pool. Critters were a problem in the bathrooms; there was a spider and some mosquitos. We grew to find the charm in this home though. Thanks for the new coffee pot! Got used to the roosters and the donkeys and its exciting to get here. Oh, a dustbuster would be nice to clean the car. Thanks again,

Another fun vacation on St. John. Experienced seeing our first shark while snorkeling! He was roaming the beaches in Lameshur and Little Lameshur Bay which was very disappointing as we always enjoy it there but were scared off this time. But great snorkeling there. Thank you,

The four of us have been to St John 5-9-01 times. Two have stayed in Coral Bay 3 times before-we all loved our stay here. We loved feeding the sugar birds each day and enjoyed the very well equipped kitchen for a few fish grilled dinners. Thanks for the use of your home! A few suggestions: napkins, paper towels, laundry soap for one load
When we rented here in 1994 we arrived to a bottle of wine on our table! What a nice surprise!

We arrived after tropical storm Chris and were greeted by hordes of mosquitos. They were so thick and voracious that we couldnt use the deck or the pool. In some places like Cruz Bay and Hawksnest they werent bad, while others-Skinny Legs, Trunk Bay, Annaberg-- they were unendurable. The netting in the upstairs bedroom helped some; the downstairs bedroom could use a net too. Well, it is the tropics-but in 25 yrs of coming to the islands weve never seen anything like it! The house, incidentally, was hot. Maybe put ac in the bedrooms? I agree with the earlier guest who said the loft was not a good sleeping option. Its about 10* hotter than the rest of the house. Enjoyed some great scuba diving with Low Key divers out of Cruz Bay. Crew members were all friendly and helpful. Snorkeling was good at both Hawksnest and Trunk Bay but we especially recommend snorkeling around the little cay at Cinnamon Bay. Havent yet found a memorable restaurant. People here have raved about Skinnys but the mosquitos are fierce there right now. The burgers were good there, but they came with potato chips instead of fries. However we enjoyed our trip and hope to be back
