The villa was perfect in every way. Comfortable, well-supplied, and convenient to both Coral Bay and the North Shore beaches. Captain Phil (Wayward Sailor) is an excellent snorkelling guide! Miss Lucy’s restaurant was great. Hope we will be back to vacation on St. John soon!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful dream villa with us. We so enjoyed the spacious and meticulously designed property. The villa's “Feng Shui” is outstanding. So quiet and peaceful. We were able to enjoy most of the beaches here, come back to relax in the hot tub, enjoy music (so much to pick from) and all the amenities you have in the home. Love all the décor and color. This is our second visit to St. John and our first to your wonderful home. We attended a wedding at Caneel Bay and found Villa Margherita to be a great way to experience the whole island. When we hosted one other couple for dinner and an evening, they paid you the ultimate compliment by saying that they (staying at Caneel Bay) were the ones who were roughing it! The gardens, well equipped kitchen, electronics and thorough documentation made our vacation truly memorable. Thanks so much!

I guess what would be one of the best compliments these days is that the Villa is more beautiful than it looked on the Internet, where it looked spectacular. It is an Eden with such pretty landscaping and decor. The roominess is wonderful.

A million dollar view! We really appreciated the paved road access and water filtration system and have to agree with all the comments that you have a wonderfully equipped and comfortable house. Loved the collection of books on St. John, native fish and plants, and your gardens look fantastic.

Your villa is as perfect as man-made can be, pleasurable for all of our senses, tranquil and beautiful inside and out. We appreciate your thoughtfulness in providing your guests with everything to insure their comfort. Top of our list of pleasures is the peaceful quiet, interrupted only by the chirping of thrushes and frogs, and the rustling of breezes through the leaves. We also enjoyed the host of colorful blooms, the spectacular vistas and the eco-friendliness of the villa. We have only two wishes right now as we prepare to depart: that St. John remains as tranquil and beautiful as it is now and that we have the good fortune to return! P.S. We are back to a 2nd visit to Villa M! Even more lovely and comfortable than we remember. You’ve thought of everything a guest could want or need. Loved bird watching form the patio and starry nights in the spa. Our favorite beaches were Salt Pond, Maho and Trunk, but all are beautiful on St. John. Lunches at Aqua Bistro, Vie’s,and Skinny’s; dinners at Morgan’s Mango, Lime Inn and Brunch at Miss Lucy’s are all great. Such a perfect vacation!

We are hooked. St John is our favorite place in the world. The snorkeling was awesome at Salt Pond and Francis Bay. If you look at Debbie’s facebook page you can view great videos of turtles and sharks. The villa is great and is perfectly located on the island. We plan to return.

Thanks for a week in paradise. Loved the house, beaches and lovely mountain breezes. Be sure to check out Vie’s place in Hanson Bay on the East End-great conch fritters- beach and snorkeling. If you like sailing call Robin and Rich Gallup on “Long Distance”-you can snorkel off the boat and they are really nice people. Also be sure to have desert at Shipwreck Landing-dinner’s great too! Brunch at Miss Lucy’s is delicious. Back to the ice and snow today.

We’ve had a most interesting and relaxing stay in this lovely home. Everyday, a couple nice snorkeling trips to various beaches. Favorites were Brown Bay and Haulover and Lameshur. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, and cooked at home a lot. We came in hurricane season and only had one bad day of rain (sideways rain). Every time we come to St John, we forget how much we’ve missed it here.
The ferry leaves in a couple hours and we must be on it. Sad but true.

We can’t thank you enough for giving us the chance to come down here. The villa is absolutely stunning, as it its location. It’s like waking up everyday inside a postcard. We’ve done our best to hit up every beach, bar and restaurant that was open and we can honestly say there wasn’t a bad one in the bunch!
This has been a fantastic place to stay and I hope it’s not the last time we make it out here.

Thanks for sharing your lovely villa. My mom, 3 kids and I stayed here to attend my sister’s wedding. She recently moved to St Thomas but this was our first trip to the USVI. We LOVE St. John and we’ll definitely be back. Driving on the “other” side of the road is going to be a challenge when I get back to the States!

What an amazing vacation-7 beaches in 6 days! Loved swimming with turtles at Salt Pond and Waterlemon. Trunk Bay is gorgeous. Snorkeling opens up a new world!

This was my third visit to St. John, some of my family’s first. We’ve had the most wonderful time, in spite of a delayed flight in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You have the most beautiful home with a “million dollar view”! Shortly after we arrived, my husband’s glasses fell apart- and you had a bit to repair it! A day later, he got a splinter in his finger-you had a sewing kit with needles to remove the splinter! Everything we needed was here! This trip was made especially for our niece/god daughter to celebrate her upcoming 16th birthday. Her name is Lauren. She and her mother (my sister) had a wonderful time and loved the beaches-especially Trunk Bay. My brother and his girlfriend also had a great time! We had dinner at Aqua Bistro one night; the food was excellent. Our last night here, we ate at Skinny Legs and loved the hamburgers. The charm of these places is so neat. We hope to come back in a few years. Our niece is already planning to return. You folks are very nice to let us stay in your home. The ambience here is so refreshing. Thanks for all the beautiful memories.

Our third stay at Villa Margherita has been relaxing-a study in pleasurable routines; Beach 10am, return for lunch and naps, afternoon movie and dinner at one of the local restaurants. We are loyal to Miss Lucy’s, but discovered a new favorite-Sweet Plantains. Great curries, jerk and other local fare-terrific waitstaff and ambience.

Our first experience to the island was enhanced because of your beautiful home. We came to the island for the wedding of our two friends and decided to make a week long vacation out of it and we are SO GLAD that we stayed at this wonderful villa. Honeymoon Beach was worth the hike. Spend the majority of the day there under the clear blue skies. This island is truly paradise and I can see why many vacationers become locals. We have to leave today and I do not want to go.
Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We could not stop talking about how great it was and how secluded we felt, which is what we were looking for. We will probably be back someday and hope to stay here again. So until next time….

My first visit to this beautiful island was in 1972-I was 12. I grew up in Miami and somehow my father discovered St. John for our family vacations. My father passed away suddenly, just a couple of years after our last family trip so I did not return again for many years. I have such wonderful childhood memories of our vacations here and when I spoke to my mom the other day she said she thinks they might have ended up here to live. So, I finally got back here in May 2002 with my husband and we celebrated our anniversary-as we are this trip. Your home is SO gorgeous and has every gadget you need. Thank you for sharing it with us and all your other guests. The snorkeling was great again- Waterlemon Cay is probably our favorite. Solomon Bay was great also-nice shady beach. We have eaten enough food to last us a month, so back to the hustle and bustle. We’ll be back and we definitely want to stay in your beautiful home again!

Back again to St. John for another relaxing visit. The Villa Margherita was a perfect island getaway. The bougainvillea on the trellis was spectacular! While here, we had a delicious crab cake benedict at Miss Lucy’s brunch. We visited Zozo’s twice; it’s always great! One day we took the park service guided hike down the Reef Bay Trail. The 3 mile hike was beautiful and it was great to have the Sadie Sea at the beach at the end of the hike to take us back to Cruz Bay. Deanna, the park ranger for our hike, was so knowledgeable and entertaining-she’s a great guide!
Ending each day with a soak in the spa is so relaxing, as we watch the stars and clouds.
Villa Margherita is the best! We’ll be back!

Villa Margherita! It brings to mind a second home furnished and stocked like a first home! This villa seems to have been designed and maintained more like what the owner would desire, rather than a rental house. The care and thoughtfulness of information and directions is heartwarming.

What a perfect place! It has everything one could ever wish for-the beautiful setting, the prefect landscaping, the attention to detail and the perfectly appointed kitchen were much appreciated. The information on the web did not do it justice. It’s more beautiful than we expected.
We’ve been to many Caribbean islands and enjoyed our stay in most of them-especially Dominica and Barbados-but we both fell in love with St. John, especially the Coral Bay area.
We cooked at home a lot and ate on the patio by candlelight and complimented ourselves on our gourmet meals. We loved our last evening’s meal at The Fish Trap; the only night we went to Cruz Bay. We met the locals and heard good music at Island Blues.

We’ve had a wonderful time in your wonderful house. We especially liked how carefully and thoughtfully everything has been done. One reason we chose to rent this villa was that we are also considering building a force 10 house and we were convinced!
From the bathroom window we could see the runners on the 8 Tuff Miles race this morning-very impressive.
Our 5 yr old loved the great video collection and the beach toys were great.
Meals at Miss Lucy’s and Island Blues are always our favorites, and Salt Pond Bay and Haulover were saviors as surf pounded the North Shore earlier in the month.
We’ll be back to Coral Bay as soon as we can.
Oh, and the wireless interenet access that we discovered with the portable is amazing-in NH we’ll only have dial up for years to come!

Spent another Xmas here with our daughter and grandson-he was written about in the Dec. issue of Suntimes with Santa George. A special family time together in a well thought out villa. We loved all the kids’ videos, beach time, hot tub and just relaxing. Miss Lucy’s Brunch (Sundays) was wonderful.

I am enjoying my last morning viewing the light changes over the Drake Channel. I can see why you fell in love with St. John! The weather has been ideal-we haven’t used the air conditioning either in the house or the cars. The villa is lovely-quiet, peaceful and it seems every detail is attended to with your usual care and thoughtfulness. We’ve had fun cooking in your well equipped kitchen.
We’ve snorkeled almost every day along with some exploring and had some nice meals out-Sunday Brunch at Miss Lucy’s was fun-live jazz and good food.
