We just returned from St. John and our marvelous stay at Villa Madeline. I wanted to let you know a couple of things. We had wonderful experiences with Island Baby (baby gear rental) and Sam & Jack's Deli (provisioning; both their service and food items were excellent), and hope you will recommend them to other guests. Thank you for all of your help; we hope to return to St. John soon.

We spent the most wonderful week at Villa Madeline! Snorkeling was great at Trunk Bay and Salt Pond. Enjoyed dinners at Skinny Legs and Sweet Plantains. The highlight of our days was the delicious smoothies at Columbos. We lost count of how many different animals we say! We look forward to staying at Villa Madeline again!

First of many great times to come! Best beaches were Maho and Trunk, and Salt Pond had great snorkeling. Great food at La Tapa's and the best smoothies in the world at the roadside vendor. The wildlife is great here, many awesome things to see. Wonderful place, can't wait to come back!

Great trip....again! Our 9th to St. John. Book a charter with Capt. John Brandi or Palm Tree Charters! We had the best time snorkeling at The Indians. Was amazing...like swimming in an aquarium. Loved Villa Maddy. Hope to come back next year. Future guests--put out a small plate of sugar for the bananaquits. They look for it every day now!

This is our 3rd year here on St. John, and we've loved it each time. We've seen gigantic coral, spotted eagle rays, leopard eels, turtles, hermit crabs, mongoose, billie goats, pigs and a lot of others!

We loved and enjoyed our stay here at Villa Maddy! We especially loved the pool and jacuzzi and the view is breathtaking. Our favorite restaurant was Shipwreck Landing just down the road, and our favorite beach was Cinnamon Bay--beautiful! We went on a snorkel trip on a catamaran and also went parasailing. We visitied Woody's bar and the Quiet Mon Pub, hoping to see Kenny Chesney but no such luck! This island is breathtaking and we got to see most all of it. Brad brought me here for my 50th birthday. Best birthday yet! Thank you--this was beyond our expectations!

Thank you for all your generous hospitality and help with our questions this past week. The home is beautiful and very welcoming, clean, comfortable, and feels like a true home away from home. Beaches are absolutely as beautiful as we had hoped and imagined--crystal clear turquoise waters. Our favorite beaches were:
(1) Trunk Bay--huge beach, we went early and had great spots!!
(2) Gibney Beach--not even on the map! Totally quiet and secluded. No signs to it, its location 3 driveways from Hawksnest.
(3) Jumbie Beach--another beautiful secluded quiet beach.
(4) Solomon Beach--nice, a bit of a hike to get to.
(5) Cinnamon Bay--big waves but fun! Big beach as well! But couldn't snorkel here.
We will pass the word onto others about Villa Madeline! Thank you and God Bless.

Wow, what an amazing week on St. John! Amazing snorkeling at Waterlemon and Trunk Bay, great smoothies at Columbo's, a few wonderful BBQs out by the pool enjoying the breezy evenings. The island was more beautiful than we even imaged and the wildlife blew us away (pigs, goats, donkeys, mongoose, roosters, chickens, cows, horses, crabs, etc.)!! Villa Madeline was the perfect home away from home--very comfortable, great quiet location and spectacular views. Thanks so much--we can't wait to return!

What a wonderful week! We enjoyed our stay at Villa Madeline and our first trip to St. John as a whole. A couple of favorites were snorkeling at Lameshur Bay and dinner at Miss Lucy's. Columbo's smoothies were also a huge hit! We can't wait to come back!

Happy New Year! Everything is just great! Some eating ideas: Donkey Diner for breakfast (Weds pizza day and night)/ Aqua Bistro for tuna and lobster tails on Friday/ Shipwreck for grouper/ Island Blues for music and drinks/ Lily's Market for groceries/ Skinnhy's for burgers. Take a snorkle/sail trip. Donkeys, goats, cows... Oh my!

Celebrating big birthdays: We hate to leave. We had a great time at Villa Maddy with the pool, spa, and the outside grill. Nothing went unused. We explored the island to its fullest. Our favorite beaches: Trunk Bay and Hawksnest are tied for #1, Lameshur Bay #2, and Leinster Bay is best for snorkeling fish and turtles but next time we'll wear sneakers for that trail. For the resturants that were open, we loved Skinny Legs for a burger and to watch our favorite team sports, Zo Zo's for a great sunset. make reservations at the bar. Best seats in the house! Also, enjoyed Asolare, great views, sunset and the ambiance was beautiful. Thanks, and hope to visit again real soon.

What a wonderful time we had here in Villa Maddy and St. John. Our top 10 favorite places on the island are: (1) Villa Madeline--loved the deck; (2) Trunk Bay--beautiful and not too busy in low season; (3) Little Hawksnest--perfect, isolated swimming; (4) Hawksnest--sugary white sand; (5) Soloman Bay--short hike but spectacular views; (6) Skinny's; (7) Honeymoon Bay--admire the lone sting ray; (8) Caneel Bay--placid waters, great grounds; (9) Aqua Bistro--get the grouper sandwich; (10) Maho Bay--stunning beach, donkeys roll in at sunset. We loved St. John and especially Villa Madeline. Your home is both beautiful and very functional. The stone and tile work are lovely and we enjoyed the pool and spa daily. Our 60th birthday/retirement celebration vacation was filled daily with fun adventures. We hiked several trails, took a sail trip, rented kayaks and of course enjoyed lots of great beaches and snorkeling. Our dining experiences were great and included Skinny Legs, Woodys, ZoZo's, Miss Lucy's. Thanks for a great trip.

Villa Madeline is a fantastic place. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Very impressive when we walked in and the table set--very classy! We hit as many beaches as we could in a week. Our favorite beach is Salt Pond--good snorkeling, nice sand, not crowded. You could not have been more hospitable.

We had the most amazing week here in St. John. This house is beautiful and the views are amazing. Our favorite beach was Maho--soft white sand and vibrant turquois water.... sea turtles and hungry pelicans! We highly recommend renting a little zodiac and going around the island to Little Cinnamon and other remote beaches. Thank you, your hospitality is above and beyond--we will be back next year!

We're coming to the end of our vacation and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the villa and its location. Had a fun excursion on "Bad Kitty" and explored all the beaches we could in a short two weeks. Loved the pool/BBQ area and made use of it daily. Chris was great to respond to all of our needs and helped to make our trip a memorable one. We would certinaly come back to Villa Madeline!
